Responsibility was here before the first call.
Founded by seven community members who believed emergency medical care should exist before someone needed it.
Founded in 1970
They did not wait for someone else to build it.
The founders of North Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps accepted responsibility for a need their community could not afford to ignore.
Their willingness to personally accept financial risk created the organization that continues serving North Syracuse today.
More than fifty years later, every generation of NAVAC inherits that responsibility. Our obligation is not simply to preserve what they built. It is to leave it stronger than we found it.
